The Latino Leaders Network will honor Mayor Salinas in Providence this summer at a meeting of the United States Conference of Mayors. The Latino Leader Network is a national collection of Latino elected and appointed officials from across the nation who seek to develop ongoing opportunities for “Bringing Leaders Together” to establish relationships and dialogue on issues important to the Latino community.
The honor in part is a reflection of the United States Conference of Mayors and others in the local government community looking to Mayor Salinas for leadership on trade, immigration and border security issues.
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by my colleagues for the work I do everyday on behalf of the citizens of Laredo,” said Mayor Salinas.
The trip will coincide with the City of Laredo’s annual trip to New York to sell bonds for future infrastructure projects.
