Arrested for Indecency with a Child Felony 2

On Wednesday May 06, 2009, the Laredo Police Department arrested Reymundo Barba, age 43, for 2 counts of alleged Indecency with a child- Felony 2. The case was reported to police in December 2008 when a female victim, a minor under the age of 17, out cried to an adult about an incident that occurred back in October 2008. The child alleged that Barba tried to impose himself on her in a forceful way. During the investigation another child was discovered to have a similar experience with Barba prior to the incident in October 2008. The investigation was followed through by Special Investigations Unit detectives. The investigation proved to have enough evidence to merit the warrants for 2 counts of indecency with a child felony 2. As a result of the investigation the suspect fled into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico to avoid arrest but Barba turned himself in to Laredo Police Officers at the Lincoln Juarez Bridge in the afternoon on May 06, 2008. He was booked and remanded to Webb County Jail and held under no bond.
