City of Laredo Recognizes Co-Op Students

Mayor Raul G. Salinas was on hand to recognize 10 local high school seniors who, through their business courses in high school, were part of the Co-op program sponsored by the City of Laredo, where they served as employees in various departments throughout the year. This paid job teaches the students about real world work experiences, as they each have specific projects they must complete, as well as learning the day to day business of showing up on time, proper work attire and other work related issues. The City of Laredo has sponsored this program for 10 years and hopes to continue to host local seniors, broadening their educational experience by exposing them to municipal government work.
