City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas and City Secretary Gustavo Guevara hosted visitors from the City of SanMenXia, China

Earlier today, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas and City Secretary Gustavo Guevara hosted visitors from the City of SanMenXia, China. Hosted by Texas A&M International University, the visitors stopped to visit with Mayor Salinas to discuss opportunities for becoming a Sister City and other business and trade opportunities.
Mayor Salinas gave Vice Mayor Xinhua Su a pin from Laredo and Texas, as well as other gifts to commemorate the visit. Dr. Haibo Wang, professor at TAMIU, served as translator throughout the visit. Mayor Su was so impressed with the reception and welcome he received, he extended an invitation to Mayor Salinas to visit his city, so that they can begin to grow their ties of friendship and exchange.
