Aggravated robber arrested

On Thursday April 23rd at approximately 10am an unknown male subject walked into “Moreno’s Short Stop” convenience store located at 2800 of Springfield; brandished a knife, threatened the clerk with body injury demanding the register’s money.
LPD’s Homicide and Robbery division conducted a follow-up investigation which included interviews of witnesses, potential suspects and review of surveillance video. Subsequently the suspect was identified as Randy Valverde, 19 of 500 E Kearney. He was brought in for questioning and after a voluntary statement admitting to the robbery he charged with Aggravated Robbery.
