Trautmann Elementary Celebrates Second Designation as National Blue Ribbon School

Trautmann Elementary School (T.E.S.), celebrated their recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School. The campus was the only elementary school in Laredo to win the 2016 National Blue Ribbon Honors Award from the United States Department of Education.
The recognition honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students achieve very high learning standards, or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap. This year, the program recognized only 279 public and 50 private schools at an awards ceremony held in Washington D.C on November 8. In addition, only 26 Texas public schools, including T.E.S. were recognized for their excellence. This year marks the second time that T.E.S. has earned the National Blue Ribbon Honors Award, the first time being in 2010. The campus was established in 1982
