We Are UNITED In The Fight Against Cancer

(Laredo, Texas)-United Middle School’s PTC Organization led by president Yara Morris, coordinated a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness. The fundraiser consisted of selling pink “breast cancer themed” socks to the United Middle Students and the athletes in Volleyball and Football.
They donated 40% of their profits to student Jaylen Garcia, battling osteosarcoma cancer from Washington Middle School. United Middle School Students, PTC and School Principal presented a check in the amount of $600 to Jaylen Garcia and his mother Paula Moreno. “I am thankful to all the students, parents and staff from united middle who participated in this fundraiser and everyone who continues to be with me through this journey,” stated Jaylen Garcia.
