Three of United High School’s Best Sign Athletic Scholarships

(Laredo, Texas)-The atmosphere in the United High School (U.H.S.), gymnasium was brimming with excitement as  three Longhorn seniors signed their letters of intent to play college level sports. Accompanied by their proud parents and U.H.S. coaches, Karina Diaz, Pedro Sepulveda IV, and Dariela Gomez,  made it official before an audience that consisted of their peers, teammates, and campus staff.

 Karina Diaz, daughter of Arturo and Georgina Diaz, signed a tennis scholarship for New Mexico Western State University. Diaz wishes to pursue a career as a nurse practitioner.

 Pedro Sepulveda IV, son of Pedro Sepulveda III, signed a cross country scholarship for UTSA, and plans to study mechanical engineering.

 Dariela Gomez, daughter of Alma and Ariel Gomez, also signed a cross country scholarship at TAMIU. Her academic plans include studies in the field of physical therapy.
