Sames Prepares To Give New Car To Perfect Attendance Student

(Laredo, Texas)-The dream of owning a brand new car is closer to becoming a reality for one lucky high school student from the United Independent School District. That’s because Sames Auto Group will be giving away a brand new 2015 Kia Soul at 5:30 pm on June 5 at the Laredo Energy Arena, just before the Alexander High School graduation ceremony. This event is the culmination of the UISD and Sames “Kia in the Klassroom” Program, which promoted the importance of daily school attendance throughout the school year.
Launched in August 2013, the Sames “Kia in the Klassroom” Program encouraged high school students to attend school everyday. Those with perfect attendance for at least one nine week period were given a special voucher that was placed in a tumbler. The names were drawn to participate in the final phase of the give-a-way. A total of sixteen, four from each UISD high school, have already been selected and they will be present for tomorrow’s event.
“Sames has always been a big supporter of education in our community,” said United ISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos. “We appreciate all their support. Thank you Sames!”
“We are proud to be part of an initiative that promotes the importance of daily school attendance and student success. We want to send a message that making the most of your education is the key to success,” said Sames Auto Group’s Dealer Evelyn Sames.
Sames will donate the Kia Soul with the Laredo Federal Credit Union sponsoring the tax, title and license. A driver’s education package will also be donated to the winner by A&K World Class Driving School.
