J.B. Alexander Student Offered a Full Athletic Scholarship

(Laredo, Texas)-J.B. Alexander High School senior Beatriz “Bea” Benavides was offered a full athletic scholarship to play for the Sewanee University Tigers. Located in Tennessee, Bea will be a member of the prestigious tennis team when she graduates from high school in June.
Bea has been a four-year member of the AHS varsity tennis team. The school held a scholarship signing where her teammates, coaches and family were present. Bea is the daughter of Jose Luis Benavides and Rebecca Azios. Her proud coaches are Eddie and Melissa Cuellar.
Bea has been playing tennis since she was 2 years old.
