The family of 10 was in high spirits as Roger Averitt from Progressive Insurance presented them with the keys to their vehicle during a short presentation at Mike’s Paint Place on Polaris Drive.
Progressive Insurance Company proudly supports the nationwide for Recycled Rides program created by the National Auto Body Council (NABC).
This program is a community service project that recycles vehicles and donates them to families and service organizations.
Mike’s Paint Place manager Jorge Nuñez said that his company has been restoring vehicles for the program for the past four years.
“We enjoy our partnership with Progressive Insurance because it gives us an opportunity to help families in our community”said Nuñez. Astrid Casarez, who is the mother of five children attending Nye Elementary thanked Nye Elementary Principal Patricia E. Lañas and Counselor Adriana Rodriguez for their assistance in obtaining the vehicle.
“This new car is going to help my family so much because it gives us a way to transport our kids to and from school every day. I also wish to thank Progressive Insurance and Mike’s Paint Place for making this possible. We are very grateful to them and the program“, said Casarez.
