CITY OF LAREDO CLOSURE NOTICE

(Laredo, Tx)-City of Laredo Administrative Offices will be closed on Thursday January 1, 2015 in observance of New Year’s Day.
Protective and emergency services will be operational.
Please be aware that there will be NO recycling collection service on Thursday, but recycling for this route only will be collected on Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Recycling collection will resume on Friday, January 2, 2015 on regularly scheduled routes.
The City of Laredo Landfill will be open on Wednesday, December 31, 2014; it will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2015. It will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2015.
In observance of the New Year’s holiday, the Laredo Public Library, Bruni Plaza Branch and MOS Branch will be closed on Thursday, January 1, 2015.
The El Metro bus schedule and El Lift bus service for the holiday will be as follows:
Wed., Dec. 31, 2014; Fri., Jan. 2, 2015: Fixed route and El Lift service – regular; administrative offices openThursday, January 1, 2014:
Fixed route and El Lift service – Sunday Service; administrative offices closed.
The City of Laredo Municipal Court will also be closed on Thursday. Individuals scheduled to appear in court that day have a minimum of 10 working days to make an appearance. Contact Municipal Court for more information at 794-1680.
City of Laredo administrative offices will re-open on Friday, January 2, 2015, during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The next regularly scheduled City Council meeting is on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
