UISD’s Delivery S/R Workers receive in-house training…

(Laredo, Tx)-Fifteen of United ISD’s Delivery S/R (shipping and receiving) workers were recognized with a forklift operations certificate on Friday, April 28th. They have all been certified to conduct and operate a forklift machine.
Laredo Community College offered the OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Administration) training of 8-hours and was completed in one-day. The OSHA forklift training is a two-step process, which includes classroom style-training and hands-on evaluation by an employer/educator. The in-house training was held at the UISD Facilities Warehouse.
This is the First Year LCC conducts an in-house training for UISD Employees. The certification expires after 3 years, and continuing education courses will also be available for them.
The following are the fifteen UISD certified forklift operators; Timothy Diaz, Victor Dominguez, Edemencio Garcia, Roberto Garza, Jose Luis Gonzalez, Mauro Juarez, Laura Ortega, Jose Luis Rangel, Jose Chris Reyes, Alejandro Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Ignacio Segura, Manuel Gonzalez, Geronimo Santos and Oscar Ruiz.
