Nurse Pleads Guilty to Sexual Assault
The Office of District Attorney Isidro “Chilo” Alaniz reports that on December 7, 2009 registered nurse; Luis Rolando Garcia (4/22/1970), pled guilty to sexually abusing a child. The defendant, who has been employed locally by the fire department and by a nursing home, entered his plea before the Honorable Judge Oscar Hale, Jr. in the 406th District Court.
Luis Rolando Garcia was charged with having sexually abused a young male relative from the time the child was ten years old to the time he was thirteen years of age. Over the course of several years, the defendant was charged with having forced the child to touch the defendant’s genitals, of fondling the child and of performing sexual acts on the child. Although the child victim out cried to relatives, it is believed that investigations by Child Protective Services were unsuccessful in determining sexual abuse due to the lack of cooperation on the part of witnesses.
Earlier this year; eleven years after the first incident of child sexual abuse, the victim out cried once again, by driving himself to a police substation and filing a report of sexual abuse. The victim, who is now in his mid-twenties, told authorities that the defendant was soon to become a nurse practitioner which the victim feared would enable the defendant to more easily access and, possibly abuse, children. Therefore, because he feared for the well being and safety of other children, the victim stated that he felt compelled to file charges against Garcia.
Luis Rolando Garcia will be sentenced by the Honorable Judge Oscar Hale, Jr. on February 19, 2010 in the 406th District Court.

I met a guy a few days ago at KTO and he’s 41 years old. All I know is that I feel he is somewhat secret about his life.All I know is that he is seperated from his wife of 16 year,is a nurse working, according to him at some homehealth care,has a motorcycle and drive a red sports car. He seems to look like the same person. I need to know if anyone knows anything about this guy??????
I definetly dont agree with the”punishment” this guy is getting,and I dont think he had change. The authorities should look for more abused kids cause I don’t think that was the only person he had abused. He may seem like a very nice person , but he is a pervert..
This guy is about to graduate as a nurse practitioner, well not exactly. He is telling all his classmates he is going to get 10 years probation. He even told everyone at his job that the charges are false, even though he pled guitly. Please spread the word the laredo way. This guy is guilty and trying to save face. He Will lose his licence as nurse but will keep his masters in nursing and will be able to be a professor in nursing in any college. That should keep any decent human being up at night. By the way the guy is married and has kids and is about to graduate from TAMIU.
