“Operation Clean-Up” hits District V
Laredo, TX—Inspectors from various City departments will team up on Friday, July 24, 2009 to make a sweep of an area in City Council District V educating about and enforcing City codes.
The campaign will encompass the following central Laredo neighborhood: Monterrey Avenue to San Francisco Avenue, between Montgomery and Locust, including Ash and Elm Street. Inspectors from Community Development (Code Enforcement division), Police (Ordinance division), Health (Animal Control division) and Building Development Services (Zoning Inspection division) will be walking door-to-door on Friday. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Henry Cuellar, a Democrat representing the 28th District of Texas, is now Vice-Chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI). Congressman Cuellar was voted in by the CHLI Board of Directors at its July 9th private meeting. Laredo, TX-the Laredo Broncos ended the first half ULB season on a losing note, as they lost the Edinburg Roadrunners by a score of 3-1 at Veterans Field, on Tuesday.
The Roadrunners grabbed the early lead in the first inning. Bryon Smith gave them a 1-0 lead on a rbi single, which scored Robert Matlock from 2nd.
