June 3, 2009 (Laredo, TX) The Laredo Entertainment Center and MG productions proudly present Hot Latin Pop Sensation Luis Fonsi, performing live for the first time ever at the Laredo Entertainment Center on Thursday, July 30th @ 8pm.
“It is always exciting to bring artists to the LEC for the first time; it is also extremely gratifying to be part of an artist’s world-wide tour,” said Roy Medina, General Manager for the SMG-managed Laredo Entertainment Center. “Giving a new promoter an opportunity to bring artists of this caliber is also something that I feel is well worth it for both parties; MG Productions is definitely on the right track with bringing an artist like Luis Fonsi to the Gateway City,” added Medina.
Luis Fonsi was initially molded as a traditional Latin balladeer, one who sings romantic songs with dramatic flair over sweeping string arrangements. He enjoyed much success as such, though he began to break from that mold steadily as he ventured into much more than just singing. Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Orlando, Florida, Fonsi dove into show business at a young age, and hasn’t stopped since.
“Palabras Del Silencio” is the title of his upcoming album that will be released on August 26th. It is said that it is because of the tremendous love and passion for music that runs through the veins of this multifaceted young artist that this could be his best album yet. As a singer, composer, musician, and producer, Luis Fonsi has emerged as being one of the top male artists in Latin Music today.
