Cuatro Vientos Interchange Groundbreaking Ceremony

Federal, state and local officials came together to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cuatro Vientos Interchange. Present were (left to right) Alfonso Arguindegui; Mayor Pro Tempore Johnny Rendon; Representative Ryan Guillen; Mayor Raul G. Salinas; Congressman Cuellar; Senator Judith Zaffirini; Albert Quintanilla, P.E., TXDoT Laredo District Engineer; Representative Richard Raymond; Council Member Mike Garza; and City Manager Carlos Villarreal. Raymond stressed the importance of getting the project started immediately, urging everyone to “get these shovels in the ground!” While Garza was speaking, a traffic accident punctuated his remarks about the need for the project to help alleviate the congestion along the roadway.
