City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas presented a check to students and president Irasema Ramirez of the Laredo Community College Disability Students Club, to help them with their activities to promote awareness that students with disabilities does not mean they are not capable of excelling in a collegiate atmosphere.
Additionally, Mayor Salinas recognized local business leaders who helped to bring in international companies to the “Business Without Border” conference. Joining Mayor Salinas are: Craig A. Lawrence, attorney; Jaiver Amieva, publisher, El Financiero; Marcel Notzen, III, attorney; Blasita Lopez, CVB Director; and representatives for U.S. Consul General Donald Heflin; and Hector Carmona
