Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Weapons, Cash and Marijuana

 Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – A narcotics investigation by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office leads to the seizure of narcotics and US currency.  On Friday, June 18, 2010, at approximately 8 p.m., members of the narcotics unit of the Webb County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of Drug Enforcement Administration and Laredo Police Department, executed a state narcotics search warrant at a residence located at the 3100 block of Columbia Drive. Execution of the warrant led to the seizure of 9.44 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $4,777.00, one Winchester 12 gauge shotgun, assorted magazines and ammunition, drug paraphernalia, (weigh scales and rolls of cellophane).

 In addition, Investigators discovered  11 marijuana plants growing in the backyard of the residence.  Carlos Pena, Jr., 35 and Monica Anette Bundoc, 35,  were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana a Felony 3, bond was set at $10,000.  This investigation is still pending and further arrests are anticipated.

 “ The Webb County Sheriff’s Office  plays a proactive role in the fight against drugs in order to keep the children of Webb County safe” Stated Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
