Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Cash, weapons and Narcotics from a Residence

                   In conjunction with Drug Enforcement Administration

 Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010, Webb County Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation regarding information on narcotics being stored at the 1300 block of San Francisco.  Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies in conjunction with DEA discovered 262.74 pounds of marijuana at an approximate street value of $133,000, 81 doses of heroin totaling 12 grams at an estimated street value of $2,544, one 9mm semi automatic handgun, one 38 caliber special revolver and approximately $80,000 in US currency.

 Ricardo Guerrero, 26, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, felony 2, Engaging in Criminal Activity, felony 3, and Possession of a controlled substance, felony 2, bond was set at $90,000. Rogelio Hernandez, 24, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, and Engaging in Criminal Activity , bond was set at $75,000. Ernesto Gonzalez, 21, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana, and Engaging in Criminal Activity, bond was set at $75,000. Octavio Urrieta Urrea, 19, arrested and charged with Engaging in Criminal Activity, bond was set at $50,000.

 “Through improved leadership, commitment and continual and timely information sharing between local, state and federal Law Enforcement Agencies, we continue to deter illegal and criminal activity and enforce actions on those posing the greatest threat to public safety.” Sheriff Martin Cuellar stated.
