Arrested For False Use of ID

On March 20, 2009, Christopher Neil Johnson, out of Houston, Texas, filed a Police Report with the Laredo Police Department after he found that his social security number had been fraudulently used to finance a motorcycle. He was contacted by the finance company after the payments were delinquent. When he was informed that someone had purchased a motorcycle in Laredo, Texas, he immediately contacted our Police Dept.
The investigation was assigned to the Laredo Police Department Crimes Against Property Division. Police investigators contacted the local motorcycle dealership. They discovered that suspect by the name of Christopher Johnson had purchased a motorcycle on January 17, 2009. Upon filing the application for the financing he presented his driver’s license and social security number that did not belong to him. This social security number belonged to another Christopher Johnson, who resides in Houston, Texas. Christopher Johnson signed the finance documents and the application for Texas Certificate of Title knowing that the social security number provided for the financing did not belong to him.
The case was presented at the District Attorney’s Office and a warrant for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information State Jail Felony approved. Justice of the Peace Veliz issued warrant # 09-91529 for the arrest of Christopher Johnson. He was arrested on Sunday, May 10, 2009. He was advised of his constitutional rights, booked, processed, and then transported to Webb County Jail where he was held with a $25;000 bond.
