Temporary Closure of Santa Maria – Detours

LAREDO – On-going construction of the FM 1472 overpass (northbound direct connector) at IH 35 project will require lane closures and detours for February 6, 2010 to perform associated bridge construction, weather permitting.
● February 6, 2010, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. – Santa Maria Ave., complete closure from Del Mar Blvd. north to FM 1472 to install beam overhang brackets and associated work for the northbound direct connector. No traffic will be allowed within this area. IH 35 SBFR (southbound frontage road) traffic north of FM 1472 will be re-directed to NB FM 1472. All southbound traffic along FM 1472 will be directed to continue onto the FM 1472 southbound direct connector.
The traveling public should slow down, drive with extreme caution, and observe all safety signs, traffic control devices and flaggers in the work zone area.
