Comedian Jerry Rocha To Headline All Star Banquet

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks have announced that world famous comedian Jerry Rocha will be the headline entertainer at the 2010 CHL All Star Game Banquet Presented by Laredo Energy on January 12th at the Laredo Entertainment Center. Banquet tickets are $75 each, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order now.
Rocha (pronounced ROW-cha), a native of Dallas, Texas, has been a featured performer on SiTV, The Latino Laugh Festival, and was the subject of a half-hour documentary on the Travel Channel. He has spent the past few years working at comedy clubs all over the country, and is currently planning a move back to L.A.
The banquet will start with a cocktail hour from 6-7pm with casino games, a silent auction, live music, a performance from world record holding juggler Albert Lucas and a chance to meet the 2010 CHL All-Star teams. You will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to see Lord Stanley’s Cup, where you can get up close and personal with the Holy Grail of Hockey.
Lucas is the only man in history to juggle 12 rings simultaneously. Since 1984 Lucas has set or tied 14 world records and often performs his entire show on ice skates.
After the cocktail hour the party will then be moved inside the arena for dinner and entertainment featuring Rocha, as well as speeches from the All Star Coaches, Terry Ruskowski and Kevin McClelland.
The banquet will be hosted by Bucks broadcaster Bryan Benway, along with co-hosts Rich Bocchini (Killer Bees broadcaster) and Josh Bogorad (Ice Rays broadcaster).

Albert Lucas is a world record holding juggler. He holds the official record for being the only person to flash 13 rings and is also rumoured to have flashed 14 rings. Lucas also held at one time the record for the longest 10 ring juggle, and is the first person to have qualified 10 objects in competition. Lucas has performed since the 1970s, in Las Vegas shows and many other venues. He can do his act while ice skating, and spent several years performing in the Busch Gardens show; “Around the World on Ice.” Lucas won the IJA Senior Championship in 1984, and is the only person to have performed at both the NBA Finals and the NHL Stanley Cup Finals. Lucas also has a juggling trick named after him. ‘ALBERT’ is a reverse under the leg throw, made from front to back without either foot leaving the floor.
