Come see St. Peter’s courtyard transformed into a mini Bethlehem, as the entire school participates in one of the most moving musical interpretation of the birth of Jesus. Every child in the school participates, from the K-3, K-4, and K-5-year olds’ angelic angel choir, to the 8th graders portrayal of Mary, Joseph, Shepherds, the Three Wise Men, and the Angel of Lord. There are even child cows, horses, pigs, sheep and camels at the manger, as well as Bethlehem citizens who turn away the choir of singing travelers accompanying Mary and Joseph as they look for a place to stay.
“In the spirit of the season, I invite you to come join us in our annual Posada,” said Dr. Linda Marie Garcia Mitchell, principal of St. Peter’s Memorial School. “This wonderful tradition serves to remind us about the true meaning of Christmas and about sharing the message with others. Besides, the children look just so adorable in their costumes,” she concluded.
Everyone is welcome to come be a part of the celebration. Entrance is free. A concession hosted by the St. Peter’s Memorial School Parent Teacher Organization will be selling plates of tamales, with rice and beans for $5.00, as well as refreshments.
