All eyes and ears of the children from the Webb County Head Start program will be on the look- out for Santa Claus arriving on a sleigh as Webb County Commissioner of precinct 1 Frank Sciaraffa kicks off his fifth annual Head Start Christmas Party.
The event will take place Tuesday, December 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Casa Blanca Ballroom located on highway 59.
“Christmas is a very special time for kids and I want all of them to have an opportunity visiting with Santa during this special time of the year,” Sciaraffa said. “Last year we had a record turn-out and every child walked away with special Christmas memories.”
Children will be treated to fun and games as well as a special performance by Clown Bolitas. Clown Bolitas goes on stage at 10:30 a.m. to entertain the children.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will make a special entrance on his sleigh at twelve noon escorted by constables from Constable Ruben Reyes office. Commissioner Sciaraffa will accompany Santa as he greets the kids.
Over fifteen hundred (1500) children will each receive a special present during the party.
“This year is even more important than ever as many families are feeling the effects of the economic turn down and we hope this party makes a difference to each and every child attending,” Sciaraffa said.
