The mayor and the Chief’s Administration recognized three dispatchers at the Laredo Police Department’s Headquarters for their life saving efforts to get help to a U.S. Citizen in Nvo. Laredo. Ramiro Ramirez, Idalia Medina and Diamantina Gil were recognized for their team effort to help a man injured out of the country. Long time dispatchers, Patricia Cardenas and Rebecca Reyes, were promoted to Supervisors during the same ceremony. Read the Outstanding performance attach and group picture for details.
Also Ms. Rebecca Reyes was awarded the silent hero award. Ms. Reyes has been employed with the Laredo Police Department Communications Center since 1999. Throughout her career she has displayed an exemplary effort to dispatch division. She has been consistent in her work as well as contributing her personal time and energy to departmental morale lifting activities. Ms. Reyes has always risen above the challenges faced in her profession. She is courteous and professional to the citizens as well as the first responders we service.
