State and Military Resources Deployed to Strengthen Flood Response Across South Texas

LAREDO, Texas — In response to ongoing flooding impacting communities across South Texas, additional state and military resources have been deployed to support local emergency response operations and enhance public safety.
The City of Laredo Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is serving as the central headquarters for this multi-agency operation, coordinating response efforts among local, state and military partners. Response personnel are also being staged at Laredo Independent School District (LISD) facilities, which are serving as operational support locations for deployed teams and equipment.
The coordinated response includes personnel and specialized rescue assets strategically positioned throughout the region to assist with water rescues, search operations and emergency response efforts as needed.
TTF2 resources are assigned to the Laredo, Rio Bravo and El Cenizo areas.
Texas Task Force 2 (TTF2) has deployed:
45 personnel
2 Zodiac rescue boats
4 flat-bottom rescue boats
2 K-9 search teams
Alabama Task Force 3 (ATF3), working alongside a Military Contingent, has been assigned to the San Ygnacio, Zapata, and Roma areas.
Alabama Task Force 3 has deployed:
9 personnel
2 Zodiac rescue boats
Military Contingent has deployed:
29 personnel
4 Light Medium Tactical Vehicles (LMTVs)
1 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV)
Equipped for civilian evacuation
Together, these state and military assets are working alongside local emergency responders to provide rapid response capabilities throughout the affected areas and ensure resources are available should conditions worsen.
Residents are urged to remain vigilant, avoid driving through flooded roadways, monitor local weather conditions and follow instructions from local officials. Emergency management agencies continue to monitor conditions closely and will adjust resources as necessary.
