City of Laredo Invites the Community to 4th of July Independence Day Celebration at Independence Hills Park

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo, in partnership with Mayor Pro Tempore and District 1 Council Member Gilbert Gonzalez, District 2 Council Member Ricardo “Richie” Rangel, Jr., and District 3 Council Member Melissa Cigarroa, invites members of the media and the community to celebrate Independence Day at a family-friendly event filled with entertainment, activities, food, and fireworks.
The 4th of July Independence Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Independence Hills Park, 1102 N. Merida Dr.
The event will feature:
- Live music entertainment
- Firework display beginning at 9:30 p.m.
- Food vendors
- Water games
- Watermelon eating contest
- Grilling and swimming activities
- Pool open beginning at 5:00 p.m. (free admission)
Musical entertainment will include performances by Ricky Naranjo y Los Gamblers, Kix Garcia Band, and Los Garcia Bros, bringing an evening of patriotic celebration, live entertainment, and community spirit to residents and visitors throughout the evening.
The community is encouraged to bring family and friends and join in celebrating Independence Day with an evening focused on community spirit, entertainment, and patriotic pride.
