Temporary Iturbide Street Closure

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo announces that beginning Tuesday, May 19, 2026 through Monday, June 8, 2026, there will be a temporary street closure and traffic disruption along Iturbide Street as part of the TIRZ No. 1 – Iturbide Street Improvements Project.
The closure is necessary to allow for the reconstruction of the intersection at Iturbide Street and San Bernardo Avenue.
Motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to avoid the construction area and seek alternate routes. Drivers are advised to use extreme caution when traveling near the work zone and to follow all posted traffic control signs, digital message boards, and safety devices to help minimize traffic congestion and ensure public safety.
