Route 17 Mines Road Saturday Service Expanded to Better Serve Riders

Laredo, Texas — Attention Route 17 riders: In an effort to better accommodate passenger needs and enhance transit service coverage across the Mines Road area, El Metro Transit System will implement adjustments to the Saturday schedule for Route 17 Mines Road, effective May 4, 2026.
Beginning on the effective date, Route 17 will extend its Saturday service to include the following areas:
Milo Road
Killam Industrial Boulevard
New Bus Stops Added
To improve accessibility to key employment centers and industrial hubs, the following outbound stops will be introduced:
Milo Rd & Auburn Rd (8401 Milo Rd)
Killam Industrial Blvd & Archer Dr (8502 Killam Industrial Blvd)
These service enhancements are designed to provide more reliable transportation options for residents and workers traveling within the growing Mines Road industrial corridor.
New Schedules: Updated printed schedules will be available onboard buses and at the Transit Center starting next week.
Real-Time Tracking: Riders are encouraged to use the mobile app to check live bus locations and updated arrival times.
