LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo Community Development Department is inviting residents to participate in the 2026 District Needs Assessment, an important community survey designed to gather public input on housing, neighborhood improvements, and community development priorities across Laredo.

The assessment plays a vital role in helping the City better understand residents’ needs and concerns while guiding future planning efforts, program development, and funding decisions. Community feedback collected through the survey directly supports the City’s ability to identify priority projects, strengthen housing initiatives, and ensure resources are invested where they are needed most.
Residents are encouraged to collaborate by completing the survey and sharing their perspectives on topics such as housing rehabilitation, rental assistance, homelessness support, affordable housing, and neighborhood development. The information gathered will help shape programs funded through Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships, and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs.
Community participation is essential to ensuring that programs reflect real neighborhood needs and create meaningful, long-term improvements that enhance quality of life for families throughout Laredo.
