City of Laredo New Year’s Holiday Closure Notice

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo announces the closure of all administrative offices in observance of the New Year’s holiday on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and Thursday, January 1, 2026.
All services will resume normal operation hours on Friday, January 2, 2026. Certain operations and services will continue to be offered as indicated below:
Garbage & Recycling Collection
There will be REGULAR recycle collection on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
There will be NO garbage collection on Thursday, January 1, 2026. Thursday route will be scheduled for Saturday, January 3, 2026.
There will be NO lawn clipping and branch collection on either day.
Landfill
OPEN on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting).
CLOSED on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
El Metro Transit
Sunday Service Schedule on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
NO SERVICE on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
Administrative Office & Customer Service – CLOSED on Wednesday, December 31, 2025 and Thursday, January 1, 2026.
3-1-1 Call Center
The Center will be CLOSED on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
All services will RESUME on Friday, January 2, 2026.
