City of Laredo District 5 to host the Winter Wonderland: Tree Lighting Event

Laredo, Texas – The City of Laredo and District 5 Council Member Ruben Gutierrez Jr. invite the community to step into the holiday spirit at this year’s Winter Wonderland: Tree Lighting Event at Jovita Idar’s El Progreso Park, 6002 Thomas Ave. This festive celebration will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025, beginning at 6:00 p.m., with the highly anticipated tree lighting happening at 7:30 p.m.
Families can enjoy an enchanting evening filled with school performances, train rides, and a toy giveaway (while supplies last). From twinkling lights to joyful music, this Winter Wonderland promises heartwarming, family-friendly fun as we celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Residents of all ages are invited to join us for a night of cheer, community, and holiday magic!
