City of McAllen Fire Department Commemorates 9/11 with Rememberance Ceremony

(McAllen, Texas)-On Thursday, September 11 the McAllen Fire Department gathered at the Central Fire Station, located 201 N 21st Street, to honor the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the resilience that continues to inspire us all.
This ceremony is more than a tradition, it’s a chance for our community to pause, reflect, and unite in gratitude for the first responders who protect us every day. We invite you, your family, and friends to join us in honoring their sacrifice and courage.
“Twenty-four years have passed since that tragic day that forever changed our nation. Yet each year, as we gather in remembrance, we honor not only the lives lost but also the courage, unity, and resilience that rose from the darkness,” said City Manager, Isaac J. Tawil. “May our remembrance serve as a promise, that we will never forget the innocent and the brave.”
