Laredo, Texas – Laredo Animal Care Services (LACS) proudly hosted its second Low-Cost Vaccine and Microchip Drive-Thru Clinic this past Saturday, July 12, 2025, at its facility located at 5202 Maher Avenue. This highly anticipated event provided vital preventive care to local pets, reinforcing LACS’s commitment to animal welfare and public safety.

For just $30, participating pet owners received a comprehensive bundle of services that included Rabies, DAPP, and Bordetella vaccines for dogs, FVRCP and Rabies vaccines for cats, and microchip with registration for all pets. The event quickly reached capacity when preregistration opened with appointments for both dogs and cats.

The drive-thru format allowed for a smooth, low-stress experience for pets and their owners, making it easier for residents to access affordable, preventive care. During the event, 132 dogs and 56 cats received their vaccines and microchips. Vaccinating and microchipping pets is critical for preventing the spread of disease, complying with Texas rabies laws, and ensuring lost pets can be reunited with their families.
