Anthony Tays Jr pled guilty to Felony Murder

(Laredo, Texas)-The District Attorney’s Office reports that on January 9, 2025, Anthony Tays Jr pled guilty to Murder and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the 341st District Court. On April 5, 2021, a violent altercation occurred at the Sugar Rush Party Place in Laredo, TX, involving multiple individuals. Surveillance footage showed Anthony Tays Jr. initiating a stabbing spree during the confrontation.
Tays attacked several individuals, causing severe injuries and the death of Jaime Leal- Rodriguez. Anthony Tays Jr. will serve 25 years in The Texas Department of Criminal Justice Correctional Institution Division.
