Mayor Salinas Kicks -Off Diabetes Kiss a Pig Campaign

Earlier today, City of Laredo Mayor Raul G. Salinas welcomed the American Diabetes Association and their slate of new candidates, all vying for the honor to Kiss A Pig by being crowned winners in the organization’s annual fundraising event. Salinas, who was a candidate last year, gave each candidate a dollar for their campaign. “This is an important cause,” he beseeched the Laredo community. “Please give what you can to help your fellow Laredoans who are suffering with diabetes.” He also indicated that at the end of the day, it didn’t really matter who won the contest, as the Laredo community would be the true winners of this initiative.
