City of Laredo Invites Runners to Participate in the 4th Annual Runway Run 5K

LAREDO, TX— The City of Laredo, in collaboration with the Laredo International Airport and the Parks and Recreation Department, is excited to announce the 4th Annual Runway Run 5K and 1-mile run event. This unique race will take place on October 5, 2024, at the Signature Flight Support Building, located at 4805 Maher Ave.
Participants will have the unique opportunity to run among active runways, with commercial and general aviation aircraft taking off and landing during the race, offering a one-of-a-kind experience for runners of all levels.
Registration is now open, and participants can sign up at https://laredorunway5krun.itsyourrace.com . All proceeds from the event will go towards funding youth sports summer camp scholarships, helping to provide opportunities for local children to stay active and engaged during the summer months.
