McAllen Salvation Army Extends Intake Hours, Due to Inclement weather

(McAllen, Texas)-Emergency Shelter daily intake hours 6 PM -8 PM will be extended after 8 PMtemporarily for inclement weather Wednesday through Friday, valid ID will be requested, but is not required, sex offenders are not allowed, weather clients asked to bring their medications, pillow, blanket, towel, must be able to perform their activities of daily living without assistance, not be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, not behave erratically or aggressively for everyone’s safety, and no pets.
Cots will be utilized for inclement weather clients. Wednesday at 8 AM-5 PM the shelter guests and inclement weather clients can sit in the community dining room.
Thursday and Friday at 8 AM – 5 PM weather clients can sit in the office lobby.
Daily Community Meals – lunch served 12 PM – 1 PM and dinner served 5 PM – 6 PM.
