LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo Community Development Department has completed one more important project under their Homeowner Reconstruction Program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Grant (CDBG).
The residence of the Muzquiz family, located at 4601 Acerra Lane, was destroyed by a fire in late 2022. The home was burned beyond repair and presented conditions that endangered the health, safety, and well-being of the occupants.
The Muzquiz family applied and qualified for the Homeowner Reconstruction Program for the replacement of their manufacturing home, a 100% forgivable loan.
Through this program, a new open-concept manufacturing home was installed on the family’s lot, measuring 794 sq ft, with two bedrooms, and one bathroom.
