City Manager Announces the Retirement of Deputy City Manager

LAREDO, TX – The City of Laredo Manager, Mr. Joseph Neeb, has accepted the retirement of Deputy City Manager Rosario Cabello after serving the City for over 24 years.
Ms. Rosario Cabello started her career with the City of Laredo Finance Department on November of 1999. Holding the position of Finance Director until the year 2017. Afterwards, Ms. Cabello served as the Chief Innovation Officer from October of 2017 until February of 2019. Sub sequentially, she held the position of Co-Interim City Manager from February 2019 until April of 2020. Her most recent term as Deputy City Manager was from April 2020 until the present.
“I congratulate Ms. Cabello for all her work and dedication to the City of Laredo,” said Mr. Neeb, City Manager. “Ms. Cabello has dedicated much of her work to the Finance Department but has been involved in so many projects making a meaningful impact in our community.”
Ms. Cabello’s official last day with the City of Laredo will be August 2, 2024. Furthermore, the City of Laredo Management will continue to work with all departments through this transition. Throughout the 24 years of her public service, Ms. Cabello’s peers are grateful for her leadership.
