Sheriff’s Office Seizes Second Stolen Backhoe Within Three Days

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – On Thursday, June 8, 2023, at approximately 3:35 pm, Webb County Sheriff’s Office investigators recovered a second stolen backhoe that was reported stolen out of Houston, Texas.
Criminal Investigations Division Investigators arrived at a warehouse on Mines Road after launching a search on a prior theft of another backhoe days earlier. Both recovered backhoes have an estimated combined value of $154,000.
“If you witness any illegal activity, call the Sheriff’s Office at (956)523-4408. You may be eligible for a cash reward. The call will remain anonymous,” said Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
