(McAllen, Texas)—THE PALMS- Rio Grande Valley High School Theatre Awards invites you, our media partners to join us as we announce the 25 nominations for The 2023 Palms Awards. The nomination breakfast in recognition of Palms High School Theater Directors will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at McAllen Performing Arts Center.
The PALMS mission is to foster the love of the arts locally by awarding recognition and offering support to the high school theater community in Rio Grande Valley. With 40 High School theatre productions, this year’s awards feature over 25 high schools from across the area.
The awards include but are not limited to finalists in Best Production, Best Actor/Actress in a Leading Role, Best Technical Crew, Best Performer, Best Supporting Actress/Actor, and Best Production in both Musical and Straight Play categories. The PALMS will be revealing a new award honoring an individual who has dedicated their life to the growing development of the arts in the Rio Grande Valley.
