Author recounts amazing recreation of immigrants’ journey

Last week’s stunning culmination of One City, One Book had almost 1,000 individuals who flocked to the Laredo Civic Center to hear Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and author Sonia Nazario, recount the tell of “Enrique’s Journey,” a journey she also replicated in order to better understand – and tell – the child immigrant experience. The crowd ranged in age from very young to very young at heart, of all different backgrounds, and all were moved at not only the powerful story, but also, the very difficult, yet important questions she raised.
However, if you were not so lucky as to be able to attend the lecture, you can put away your excuses and instead, program your TV to the following airdates and times.
The City of Laredo Public Access Channel 3 will air, “A Conversation with Sonia Nazario” on the following dates and times:
Tuesday, September 29 at 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday; September 30 at 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 1 at 7:00 p.m.
