Laredo, Texas – After many months of meeting virtually due to COVID-19, Mayor Pete Saenz has joined the Chamber of Commerce in-person at their “Breakfast with the Mayor” monthly series on Friday, December 17th.
This program offers the business community an opportunity to hear from the city mayor and be updated on city initiatives, issues that can potentially affect businesses and opportunities for growth.
In addition, this program provides networking opportunities with business and community leaders. Key topics the mayor discussed included the recent visit from the U.S. Ambassador in Mexico, Ken Salazar, and Mexican Ambassador in the U.S., Esteban Moctezuma Barragan, the City of Laredo’s participation in a binational forum along with Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas and UN-Habitat, broadband feasibility studies being conducted in Laredo, the future of the international bridges, and more.
“I am very glad that we are finally able to meet in-person to discuss ongoing important topics that will impact and shape the future of our community,” states Mayor Pete Saenz. “By reuniting as a group, we can actively engage and express new ideas of opportunities and areas of concerns. I look forward to the rest of the upcoming monthly breakfast series sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.”
