City, County Confirm 1 New COVID-19 Related Death

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have ONE confirmed death related to COVID-19 and one previous case that needed to be replaced. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that counselors and teams are available to support them.
• The 968th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60s. She died on Wednesday, October 20, 2021.
• The 843rd death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60s. He died on Monday, September 06, 2021. (Previous case 843 was reported August 9th out of jurisdiction and has now been replaced.)
As of 4:00 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021, a total of: 436,001 people have been tested; 52,911 have resulted positive; 201 are estimated active.
