City, County Confirm 5 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Webb County have FIVE new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 598th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-50’s. He died Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The 599th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-80’s. He died Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The 600th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-60’s. He died Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The 601st death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-60’s. He died Saturday, January 23, 2021.
The 602nd death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-80’s. He died Friday, January 22, 2021.

As of 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24, 2021, a total of : 254,314 people have been tested; 38,204 have resulted positive (2,127 are active); 35,475 persons have estimated recovered; 246 are currently hospitalized (76 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is at 46.0% and 602 people have died.
