(Laredo, Texas)-Katia Velasquez, a 5th grader at Trautmann Elementary, wrote a poem selected for publishing in “A Celebration of Poets,” a Creative Communication publication.
Katia wrote a poem about the pandemic when her class was learning about poetry. She was then encouraged by her teacher, Ms. Adriana Lewis, to submit it to PoeticPower.com and was chosen to have her poem published.
