City, County Confirm Seven New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have SEVEN new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 510th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-40’s. He died Friday, January 01, 2021.
The 511th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-90’s. He died Friday, January 01, 2021.
The 512th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-50’s. He died Saturday, January 02, 2021.
The 513th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60’s. He died Saturday, January 02, 2021.
The 514th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-70’s. She died Friday, January 01, 2021.
The 515th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-70’s. He died Saturday, January 02, 2021.
The 516th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her mid-60’s. She died Saturday, January 02, 2021.

As of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 03, 2021, a total of 188,561 people have been tested, 27,209 have resulted positive (640are active), 26,053 persons have estimated recovered, 201 are currently hospitalized (67 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate 38.78% and 516 have died.
