City, County Confirm Four New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have FOUR new confirmed deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one through this pandemic and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 506th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-80’s. He died Thursday, December 31, 2020.
The 507th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-70’s. He died Thursday, December 31, 2020.
The 508th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-60’s. She died Friday, January 01, 2021.
The 509th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-80’s. He died Wednesday, December 30, 2020.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 01, 2021, a total of 185,661 people have been tested, 26,989 have resulted positive (809 are active), 25,671 persons have estimated recovered, 184 are currently hospitalized (53 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate 38.19% and 509 have died.
